As of Oct 30, 2026, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max come in four colors: Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. Burgundy is the one Apple calls "all-new", and it was the hardest to get at launch. Only Silver carries over from the iPhone 17 Pro, and every color costs the same.

Key Takeaways

  • Both sizes come in Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. Apple's press release labels only Burgundy "all-new".
  • Compared with the iPhone 17 Pro (Silver, Cosmic Orange, Deep Blue), Black, Glacier and Burgundy are new to the Pro line. Silver is the only carryover.
  • Burgundy had the longest launch waits, per analyst Jeff Pu. On the Pro Max, 256GB and 512GB waited 3 to 4 weeks in every color.
  • Since early October, some owners have reported discoloration around the camera, mostly on Burgundy. We found no Apple statement as of Oct 30, 2026.
  • Color never changes the price. Apple charges by storage tier only.

What colors does the iPhone 18 Pro come in?

Four, and the Pro Max gets the same four. Apple's spec page lists Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy for both sizes (Apple iPhone 18 Pro specs). Its Sept 9, 2026 press release calls them "four elegant finishes: black, silver, glacier, and an all-new burgundy" (Apple Newsroom).

The launch-wait column comes from Pu's look at US pre-order wait times, reported by MacRumors on Sept 15, 2026.

How are the colors different from the iPhone 17 Pro?

Three of the four are new to the Pro line this year, and the lineup grew from three colors to four. Apple's tech specs list the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in Silver, Cosmic Orange and Deep Blue only (Apple Support).

If you saw "Dark Cherry" or "light blue" in older articles, those were pre-launch rumor names. On the morning of the event, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicted black, light blue, silver and burgundy (via 9to5Mac, Sept 9). Apple's final names are Glacier and Burgundy.

What do the iPhone 18 Pro colors look like in person?

Apple's own description is short: you "choose from four gorgeous finishes with color-matched back glass" (Apple iPhone 18 Pro). Every color uses the same aluminum unibody, Ceramic Shield back and Ceramic Shield 2 front, and weighs the same (spec page).

For the shades themselves, MacRumors' Oct 1 colors buyer's guide is the most detailed account we found (MacRumors). In our summary of it:

MacRumors also notes that a chip in the finish shows lighter bare aluminum underneath. That is easier to spot on Black or Burgundy and hardest to see on Silver. Apple publishes no scratch or wear data by color, so treat this as reviewer guidance.

Screens and photos shift color a lot. If you can, look at all four at an Apple Store before you order.

Is the Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro fading?

Some owners say so, but Apple hasn't confirmed a problem. On Oct 6, 2026, Android Headlines reported Reddit posts with photos showing discoloration around the camera module. Most were Burgundy, with some Black units. Glacier and Silver owners didn't appear to see it (Android Headlines).

The same report said some owners blamed skin oil, while others said wiping with a microfiber cloth didn't help. It noted that Apple had not commented. When we searched on Oct 30, 2026, we found no Apple statement, support article or repair program about it.

What this means for you:

If the reports worry you, Glacier and Silver are the colors with the fewest complaints so far.

Which iPhone 18 Pro color is hardest to find?

Burgundy, at least at launch. It is the only color launch reports singled out:

On the Pro Max, storage mattered as much as color: Pu put 256GB and 512GB at 3 to 4 weeks in every finish.

Is Burgundy the most popular color? Apple hasn't said. A VietNamNet headline called it "the hottest option", but its evidence was early US delivery and pickup availability, which the article admits is "not a precise measure of actual sales" (VietNamNet). Long waits can reflect tight supply as much as demand.

That data is from mid-September. Stock now changes store by store, so check live iPhone 18 Pro pickup stock by color instead of relying on launch reports. For the wider picture, see when the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be back in stock.

Do iPhone 18 Pro colors cost more?

No. Apple prices both models by storage, and color never changes what you pay on the Apple Store.

StorageiPhone 18 ProiPhone 18 Pro Max
256GB$1,199$1,299
512GB$1,399$1,499
1TB$1,799$1,899
2TB$2,399$2,499

These are unlocked US prices from Apple. Every color is also offered for AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon on Apple's buy page. Our unlocked vs carrier guide covers that choice.

Which iPhone 18 Pro color should you pick?

Pick the color you'll still like in two years, then let availability and wear break the tie.

Matching cases. Apple sells burgundy versions of its Silicone Case ($49), TechWoven Case ($59), FineWoven Wallet ($59) and Crossbody Strap ($59), plus a $29 Wrist Strap with burgundy among its colors. Apple's price list names no glacier case. The nearest blues are crisp blue (Silicone) and chambray blue (TechWoven), per Apple's launch press release.

If speed matters more than shade, stay flexible. A store that is out of Burgundy may have Black or Silver ready today.

Does the iPhone Duo come in the same colors?

No. The iPhone Duo, Apple's foldable, comes only in Night Sky and Star White (Apple iPhone Duo specs). There is no Burgundy or Glacier Duo. Choosing between those two? Read Night Sky vs Star White.

How do you find a specific iPhone 18 Pro color in stock?

Watch Apple Store pickup for the exact model, color and storage you want. InStock Tracker shows live in-store pickup stock for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at US Apple Stores, split into "Available Today" and "Available Tomorrow".

  1. Choose Pro or Pro Max, then the color and storage.
  2. Set a restock alert for that configuration. You sign in with a code sent to your email, no password needed.
  3. Get a Telegram, Discord, email or push alert when the Apple Store you pick shows stock. Each alert shows when stock was detected and when the alert was sent.
  4. Order pickup on apple.com or in the Apple Store app, then wait for Apple's QR code before you go, as Apple's pickup help page advises.

The tracker never buys for you, and it doesn't cover carrier stores or Best Buy.

Frequently asked questions

What are the iPhone 18 Pro colors?

The iPhone 18 Pro comes in Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. Apple calls Burgundy "all-new" in its launch press release. The iPhone 18 Pro Max comes in the same four colors, so you don't have to pick a bigger or smaller phone to get the color you want.

Is Glacier blue or silver?

Glacier is a blue. MacRumors describes it as a pale, cool blue that is lighter than last year's Deep Blue but still clearly blue beside Silver. Apple only says each finish has color-matched back glass, so compare Glacier and Silver side by side in a store if you can.

Is the Burgundy iPhone 18 Pro fading?

Some owners have reported discoloration around the camera, mostly on Burgundy and some Black units, according to Android Headlines on Oct 6. Apple had not commented then, and we found no Apple statement by Oct 30, 2026. Inspect your phone at pickup and note the 14-day return window.

Is Burgundy hard to get on the iPhone 18 Pro?

It was at launch. Burgundy 256GB was the only iPhone 18 Pro configuration not available on launch day, and the Burgundy 1TB Pro Max waited 3 to 4 weeks, according to analyst Jeff Pu. That data is from mid-September, so check live store stock before you decide.

Does the color affect the iPhone 18 Pro price?

No. Apple prices the iPhone 18 Pro by storage only: $1,199, $1,399, $1,799 or $2,399 for 256GB, 512GB, 1TB or 2TB. Each Pro Max tier costs $100 more. Burgundy costs exactly the same as Black, Silver or Glacier in every size and storage tier.
